Uh Oh!

Ok I know I said in my last post that I was going to change my layout to something festive, but I seem to be having problems with my home computer, hopefully not a virus. So bear with me and I will get a new layout, just don't think I am crazy for putting up the plainest background and saying I was being festive!

Finally a New Post!

I am finally after weeks and weeks taking a moment to sit down at the computer and give everyone a little update. I feel like I have been going non stop since the beginning of October, or maybe even before then. I have 37 preschoolers right now and when I get home I am usually just exhausted. We have been visiting with my family every weekend for the past month, I think, so it feels like I haven't seen anyone in forever. It is hard when all your family is out of town and sometimes I wish we lived closer, but we are very happy where we are and I would never want to give up our church and our wonderful friends just for the convenience of being closer. It is hard when we are traveling so much, but we get to visit with them pretty often, and we talk everyday, so we are still very close.

I have decided to go all out and change my blog layout and everything. I am starting to feel very festive. This is one of my absolute favorite times of year and I am really looking forward to the holidays. Hope you enjoy it!

Nothing much is new with us, Emmalee is getting so big, and she thinks she is bigger than she is. She begged to have her ears pierced so we did it, only to have one of them get infected 3 weeks later. It was looking great and healing fine and then all the sudden it was really red and swollen. The doctor said it just happens sometimes especially with little girls who touch their ears with dirty fingers. So, we had to take it out and let it heal up. The other one looks beautiful though! We are planning on getting it repierced as soon as we can so she doesn't have to run around with one earring. We also moved Emmalee into a twin bed. Adam was hesitant, but I insisted she was big enough, and she was sleeping in a toddler bed with a crib mattress, so we figured it would be best to make the transition now instead of trying to explain why we were taking her bed away when her new baby brother or sister gets here in May (did you notice the new ticker?). We are SO excited and feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to be parents to a new little life. I feel like being Emmalee's mother is the reason I was put on the Earth and I am sure I will feel the same way about the new one. And Adam, who doesn't usually share his feelings about things, tells me often that being a daddy is the most impotant thing in the world to him. Boy or girl makes no difference, we are just praying for a healthy little baby.

So now that you all have eye strain from staring at your computer reading this novel, I will wrap this up with the intentions of posting more often so I don't have to do this again!
